This privacy policy explains which personal data we process when you use our website and communicate with us, the purposes for which we use it, and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Data controller

The controller of personal data is:

Azimut Electric d.o.o.

Address: Hercegovačka 17, 11000 Belgrade, Republic of Serbia

Company registration number: 21784397

Tax ID (PIB): 112994163

Zenit is not a separate legal entity. Azimut Electric d.o.o. is responsible for the processing described in this policy.

2. Who does this policy apply to?

This policy applies to website visitors, people who send us enquiries or requests for quotation, and the representatives and contact persons of our customers, suppliers and business partners.

Data about legal entities is not personal data in itself. However, a name, business email address, telephone number and other data identifying a natural person do constitute personal data, including when used in business communication.

3. Which data do we process?

Depending on the nature of your contact with us, we may process:

  • Identification and contact data: full name, email address and telephone number.
  • Business relationship data: company name, the contact person's role, delivery address and other data needed to prepare a quotation or carry out the cooperation.
  • Content of communication: enquiries, messages, requests, project information and documentation you send us.
  • Order and support data: data needed for delivery, technical support, complaints and warranty claims.
  • Technical data: IP address, date and time of access, pages requested, browser information and the technical logs needed to operate and protect the website.
  • Consent data: records of the consents given, the privacy settings chosen and any withdrawal of consent, where applicable.

We mostly receive data directly from you. We may also receive a business contact's data from the company that person represents, in order to establish or carry out the cooperation.

We do not ask you to submit your personal identification number, copies of identity documents, health data or any other sensitive or unnecessary data through our contact forms.

4. Purposes and legal bases of processing

Answering enquiries and preparing quotations

We use your data to answer questions about products, availability, prices, technical characteristics and terms of cooperation.

Where you are a prospective contracting party as a natural person, the basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract. Where you act on behalf of a company, the basis is our legitimate interest in establishing and conducting business communication with that company.

Carrying out the cooperation

We process data in order to handle orders, organise delivery, provide support and resolve complaints and warranty claims.

Depending on the specific purpose, the basis is performance of a contract where you are a contracting party, our legitimate interest in communicating with business partners' representatives, or compliance with legal obligations.

Compliance with legal obligations

We process certain data in order to keep business records, meet accounting and tax obligations and respond to lawful requests from the competent authorities.

Security and protection of rights

We process technical data in order to maintain the website, detect errors, prevent misuse and protect our systems.

We may also process data in order to bring, exercise or defend legal claims. The basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in protecting our business and rights, with due regard for your rights and freedoms.

Marketing communication

If we enable sign-up for notifications about products, offers or training, we send such messages on the basis of your prior consent.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, via the unsubscribe option in the message or by sending a request to [email protected].

Sending an enquiry, requesting a quotation or establishing cooperation does not automatically sign you up for marketing notifications.

5. Whether providing data is voluntary

Viewing the publicly available content of the website does not require you to provide your name or contact details.

When you use a contact form or request a quotation, you need to provide the data that allows us to process the request and reply. Mandatory fields are marked in the relevant form.

If you do not provide the necessary data, we may be unable to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation or deliver the requested service. Providing any other data is voluntary.

6. Who may have access to the data?

Data may be accessible to authorised employees and associates who need it to perform their tasks.

Depending on the specific purpose, we may disclose data to:

  • Providers of hosting, website maintenance, business email communication and other IT services.
  • Logistics partners, for organising and carrying out delivery.
  • Equipment manufacturers and service partners, where this is needed for technical support, a complaint or a warranty claim.
  • Accounting and legal advisers.
  • Competent authorities, where there is a legal obligation or another lawful basis.

We disclose only the data needed for the specific purpose. Service providers processing data on our behalf are bound by appropriate contracts and must act in accordance with our instructions and with data protection regulations.

We do not sell personal data.

7. Transfer of data to other countries

The use of certain IT services, or handling support together with foreign manufacturers, may involve processing data outside the Republic of Serbia.

Such a transfer is permitted only where the conditions laid down by the Personal Data Protection Act are met, including an adequate level of protection or the application of appropriate safeguards, such as the applicable standard contractual clauses.

You can request information about the specific recipients, the countries of processing and the transfer basis applied, as well as how to obtain a copy of the relevant safeguards where applicable, at [email protected].

8. Data retention periods

We keep data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, or for the periods required by regulations.

We apply the following criteria:

  • Enquiries and quotations that did not lead to cooperation: up to 12 months from the last communication.
  • Operational communication within a business relationship: for the duration of the cooperation and up to three years after it ends, unless longer retention is needed because of a warranty, a legal obligation or a legal claim.
  • Contracts, invoices and other mandatory business records: for the periods prescribed by the applicable accounting, tax and other regulations.
  • Complaint and warranty documentation: for the duration of the procedure and the relevant warranty and statutory periods for the protection of rights.
  • Website technical and security logs: up to 90 days, except for logs needed to investigate a specific incident or to protect legal claims.
  • Data for marketing communication: until consent is withdrawn or until we stop sending those notifications.

We may keep a minimal unsubscribe record in order to prevent unwanted contact in future. We may keep proof of consent for as long as needed to demonstrate the lawfulness of earlier processing.

Once the applicable periods expire, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.

9. Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files that a website can store on your device. Similar technologies may be used to remember settings and to enable website features.

We use necessary technologies only to the extent required for the requested features to work, for security and to remember your privacy choices.

If the website uses analytics or marketing cookies and similar technologies, these are activated only after your consent. Before consent is given, information about their purpose, providers and duration is displayed.

You can accept or refuse optional technologies and later change your choice through the cookie settings, where these features are available. Withdrawing consent must be as easy as giving it.

Merely browsing the website does not constitute consent. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent basic use of the website or the sending of enquiries.

10. Data security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, misuse or disclosure.

We limit access to data on a need-to-know basis and bind the people who process it to confidentiality.

No system of transmission or electronic storage can guarantee absolute security, but we adapt our safeguards to the nature of the data and the risks of the processing.

11. Your rights

Subject to the statutory conditions, you have the right to:

  • Receive information about the processing and access your data, including a copy of it.
  • Request rectification of inaccurate data or completion of incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data.
  • Request restriction of processing.
  • Exercise the right to data portability where the statutory conditions are met.
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interest, on grounds relating to your particular situation.
  • Object at any time to processing for direct marketing.
  • Withdraw consent where the processing is based on it.

Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. The right to erasure is not absolute, in particular where there is an obligation to retain data or a need to protect legal claims.

To exercise your rights, send a request to [email protected] or by post to Hercegovačka 17, 11000 Belgrade, marked „Zaštita podataka o ličnosti“ (Personal data protection).

If there are reasonable doubts about the identity of the person making the request, we may ask for additional information necessary to confirm that identity.

We will inform you of the action taken on your request without undue delay and no later than 30 days from receipt. Where necessary because of the complexity or number of requests, that period may be extended by a further 60 days. We will inform you of any extension and the reasons for it within the first 30 days.

12. Right to lodge a complaint

If you believe that the processing of your data is not compliant with the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Commissioner for Information of Public Importance and Personal Data Protection, and to use the other remedies provided by law.

Information on lodging a complaint is available at www.poverenik.rs.

Contacting us first is not a precondition for lodging a complaint.

13. Automated decision-making

Within the processing described in this policy, we do not take decisions producing legal effects concerning you, or similarly significantly affecting you, based solely on automated processing, including profiling.

14. Links to other websites

The website may contain links to the websites of equipment manufacturers and other partners.

The processing of data on those websites is governed by their own privacy policies. We recommend that you read them before submitting any data.

15. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this policy because of changes in how the website works, how data is processed or in the applicable regulations.

The version in force is published on this page together with the date of the last update. We will notify you of significant changes in an appropriate manner. Where new processing requires consent, we will ask for it before that processing begins.
